Description SORRY, NO LONGER AVAILABLE An outstanding pair of plain Gold Cufflinks in an eight-sided oblong shape, simply fashioned with a solid plate in 9 carat yellow gold with an easy-to-use traditional chain-style fastening. Hallmarked in Birmingham almost-a-century-ago in 1926. Approx. 15.5mm x 10.5mm * Cufflinks became popular in the mid-19th Century when men’s collars shirts and cuffs were starched, which meant they were too stiff to be secured by a simple button. The trend continued until the swinging sixties when the floppy shirt cuffs took over and nobody needed them. A revival in the Eighties saw them come back into fashion, and today these small ‘works of art’ provide a great finishing touch that demonstrate an undeniable attention to detail.
